Christmas Day at the Amiss House

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and is off to a good start of a fresh new year! Here are a few pictures of my boys on Christmas day. As you can see, Austin got some policeman gear, which he wears with pride and self-bestowed authority! He seems to be quite interested in jail these days….hmmm. And I got a new lens which I had a blast playing with. It’s got a nice wide aperature, but no zoom, which I’m having a hard time adjusting to!

Micah was the last one to wake up on Christmas morning!

Austin spent the afternoon trying to “trap up” anyone who would sit still.

What lens did you get? I have a 50mm/f 1.4 that has no zoom but I LOVE it for the really shallow depth of field. I’m hoping to sneak my nephew away for a baby photo shoot (he’s expected to be born sometime in the next week). If I get good shots I’m going to blow up and frame for my sis-in-law.

Thanks, Alli! Hope you had a great Christmas with your sweet little one. Tracie, I got an 85mm 1.8 Canon. I’m really enjoying it, but I think the 50mm, might be even better. Most lenses have a 1.6 multiplier factor on the digi cameras…so I can’t get far enough back when I’m inside! Hopefully once I start shooting outside again, I’ll appreciate the closeness! I have a niece on the way as well…I can’t wait! Loved both of your cards, Alli and Tracie!
